Michigan Tech Enterprise Corporation (MTEC) is excited to announce the addition of Mary Kate Ahles (she/her) to the team as Marketing Manager. Mary brings experience in sustainability, marketing, and creative content development, which aligns with MTEC’s mission to drive innovation and growth across Michigan.
Mary is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Extended Campus with a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Management, complemented by minors in Environmental Sustainability and Sustainable Enterprise. A passionate advocate for environmental stewardship, she has collaborated with organizations such as Surfrider Northern Michigan, Trout Unlimited Great Lakes Program, and Red Bull to combine adventure and advocacy through compelling storytelling and content.
As the owner of M/K Studios LLC, a photography and media business specializing in weddings, branding, and adventure content, Mary has honed her skills in visual storytelling, client engagement, and project management. She also holds certifications in Lean Six Sigma and FAA Drone Piloting (Part 107), showcasing her expertise in innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology.
In her new role, Mary will contribute her talents to advancing MTEC’s initiatives, leveraging her diverse skill set in digital marketing, technical writing, and community building. She is eager to make a meaningful impact in her local community on the Keweenaw Peninsula and beyond.
