REVEX TECHNOLOGIES RECEIVED $145 MILLION CONTRACTED GRANT AWARD FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY FOR THE PRODUCTION OF CRITICAL MINERALS
Revex Technologies Inc., a next-generation critical mineral processing company, is pleased to announce that they have received a contracted grant award of $145 million from the Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing and Energy Supply Chains (MESC). These funds, awarded to Revex Technologies Inc. and sub-recipient Eagle Mine LLC, will support the development and construction of the REV Nickel Project to produce sustainable nickel concentrate and other valuable U.S.-sourced critical minerals from metal-bearing waste streams, including discarded mine tailings and spent lithium-ion batteries (LIB). Revex and partners have also committed to benefit organizations and communities across northern Michigan through a comprehensive community benefits plan.

This year’s application round was a resounding success, with many exceptional and qualified startups aiming for a spot in the cohort. Small Business Support Hub Grant Success Story Z’s Hometown Market
Tom Zeckovich’s success story began at age 11 in Wakefield, Michigan, when a grocery store manager noticed his hard work mowing lawns and offered him a part-time job. This launched a 37-year career in grocery management across multiple stores. Later, with support from Daniel (SBDC), Tom secured an MTEC SmartZone Small Business Support Hub grant. The grant funded extra storage space, enabling Tom and his wife to buy palletized goods at lower costs and pass the savings on to customers. Tom credits Daniel’s help as key to their current success.
